Figure Study #1

Sketching this out was a little rough, I'm still practicing on drawing shapes instead of looking so hard into it. Also drawing horizontal is very hard. I'll remember that for next time.

Looking at the image above you can see that there's blocks of color more than anything. That's what I went off of when painting this.

The oil paint I used was Gamblin 1980

• cadmium red light

• ultramarine blue

• cadmium yellow light

• titanium white

to thin the paint outing speed drying time I used Galkyd medium

I liked the look of just having the shadow on the white paper so I left it that way.
